The Paderno World Cuisine Vegetable Slicer is for sure one of the most popular spiralizers around at the moment – it has been selling like hot cakes and it’s obvious why. It has a sturdy build, a selection of blades with versatile results, and all for a very reasonable price. However, let’s get into the real detail of what makes this such a hit with vegetable slicing fans…

This spiralizer conforms to the classic horizontal design, strengthened by small details that make your spiralizing efforts much gentler on the arms for quicker results. The vegetable is secured by prongs on the handle side, aiding its firm placement in the chassis of the instrument. The plastic is definitely hard wearing for this sort of price, ensuring a good run of usage. Plus the rubber feet are really neat, clinging to your worktop via the power of suction, ensuring that the spiralizer is kept balanced when in operation. (You can release the suction very easily, incidentally, in order to move the device around.) Simply put, you turn the handle and out comes veggie spaghetti and slices with minimum effort!

Of course, the magic is in the results and this is all thanks to the blades that come with the spiralizer – this is where the fun is after all. The Paderno World Cuisine Vegetable Slicer comes with three blades as standard – 1/8 inch (thick spirals), 1/4 inch (thin spaghetti) and the plain straight blade for conventional chopping.

However, for those with more deluxe tastes, you can upgrade to the Paderno World Cuisine Spiralizer Pro, which comes with an extra blade for making angel hair thin vegetable pasta, and a skewer for extra support when feeding the vegetable through or perfecting the “accordion cut” (check out the potato in this photo!).

The pro version also steps up the game with a folding body, a smaller corer to ensure less vegetables goes to waste, and better support for left and right handed users alike.

4-blade

Whichever model you go for, you will find this is a great quality spiralizer for the money, and Paderno certainly think so themselves – offering a one year warranty for your piece of mind.

Operating this spiralizer is really simple:

1. Secure the spiralizer to your work surface using the suction pads.

2. Wedge your vegetable in the device by fixing it in the corer next to the blade, and securing with the prongs on the other side.

3. Turn the handle!

Out comes delicious spirals of zucchini, carrots, apples, and whatever else takes your fancy! Make zucchini pasta, cute radish garnishes, potato chips, and much much more. Lots of fun, and very attractive and tasty results!

But when the fun is over, is it easy to keep clean? Indeed it is…washing and storage is pretty easy, as the spiralizer can be taken apart and washed with warm water and washing up liquid, or even put in the dishwasher if you prefer. If a stubborn chunk of fruit or vegetable gets stuck in the corer, it proves easy to prod out using a chopstick or similar thin poker. The blades can be detached and cleaned as well, as they will accumulate dried veg juice over time – obviously these blades are incredibly sharp, so care needs to be exercised when cleaning and storing.

All in all this is a great quality device and well worth a place in your kitchen. Whether you are drawn to raw cuisine, or just want to dress up your salads, it is a must have! Visit this link to find out more about this splendid device and order one for yourself!
